A Meditation: On Joshua 6:20 // Just A Shout Of Prayer //

by Matheus Yuhlung

“So the people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted a great shout, and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they captured the city” – Joshua 6:20

This is the strength and the privilege that we believers have in Christ. At the face of trouble and impossible tasks that life lays ahead of us – we need not shy away from it nor do we need to devise ways of tackling it. The only thing that is needed for us to do is simply to shout a great shout of prayer and the God of all creation will Himself demolish and achieve all unachievable goals for us.

Dear reader, is there anything that has been unsettling your heart lately? Are you facing a Jericho of your own that you need to conquer? Weary not any longer nor gaze at its walls. Just shout that great shout of prayer and be ready to praise Him for all your troubles will be swept away just as soon as you gasp for air the very moment that that shout vacates your lungs.

Imagine the God who empowers the faith the size of a mustard seed to move mountains; what mass of earth or water He won’t move to bring you to the Promised Land?
