A Meditation: On Psalm 130:3-4 // With Him There Is Forgiveness //
by Matheus Yuhlung
“If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared” – Psalm 130:3-4
Show God the multitude of your sins and He will show you the vastness of His grace. And if you find it to be like an ocean; drown in it. Because as He looks down, He does not sees you for your mistakes, bad decisions, regrets, transgressions, weaknesses et cetera – but when He looks at you He sees you through the righteousness of His beloved son; our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The breath that we have in our lungs – we do not deserve yet we are still breathing – that there is the proof of His mercies. Let every breath that we exhale let us exhale praises that He absolutely deserves from us. If He had to mark our iniquities we would have been long dead; since none is sinless.
So whatever storm of life you are going through, sit tight – it won’t be long until your saviour calms that storm and walk His way towards you on the water and blow a wind to set your sail. Your troubles are not the chastening of the divine but the repercussions of your own folly. Accuse not the one who has promised to not only take care of your past but your present and your future sins because with Him there is forgiveness.
